We’re looking for a high-conviction, founder-facing professional to join Awaken Finance as an Institutional Sales Associate or VP, focused entirely on deal origination and investment execution.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on sourcing high-quality protocols, building deep relationships with founding teams, and driving transactions forward with precision. You will be the first point of contact for protocols exploring capital partnerships with Awaken—and the sole individual responsible for bringing those deals into our pipeline. Once a relationship is established, you’ll stay in the driver's seat: coordinating diligence, collaborating with the investment team on structuring, and preparing memos for investment committee review. You’ll also pitch Awaken’s capital offering—positioning our value in the post-TGE space, highlighting our structured approach, and navigating teams through the investment process. This is not a capital formation role. You are not fundraising from LPs. You are sourcing crypto investment opportunities from the open market, building trust with teams, and shepherding real deals to close. Over time, high performers will grow into lead investors or portfolio managers, running their own book and leading end-to-end transactions.
Compensation
This is a commission-based role, designed for individuals who thrive in performance-driven environments. You will earn a competitive commission on every deal you source and help close, based on the total size and structure of the investment. There is no base salary for this position. Compensation is directly tied to deal execution and structured to reward individuals who consistently bring strong opportunities to the table. Top performers will have a clear path toward expanded deal ownership, higher commission tiers, and future growth within the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and source tokenized protocols and projects post-TGE
Build relationships with founders, operators, and key ecosystem players
Lead initial calls to evaluate fit, surface capital needs, and pitch Awaken’s model
Collaborate with the Managing Partner on due diligence and investment structuring
Prepare and submit investment memos for IC consideration
Track pipeline progress and support post-deal engagement where needed
Ideal Candidate
2–5+ years experience in crypto venture, ecosystem sales, trading, or investing
Strong founder-facing experience and high comfort speaking with protocol teams
Deep understanding of token launches, DeFi, L1/L2 infrastructure, and structured capital
Exceptional communication, diligence, and deal organization skills
Entrepreneurial, self-directed, and highly networked within Web3
