About the team + role
The Crypto Compliance Lead sits on a team responsible for owning and operating a forward-thinking compliance program. This program aims to deliver a safety-first experience for Robinhood’s customers, meet and anticipate current and future legal and regulatory requirements, and mitigate compliance risk while supporting cutting-edge crypto products.
You’ll help to build and grow a compliance program that navigates the sophisticated and evolving rules, regulations, and requirements designed to protect and ensure security for Robinhood Crypto customers and the overall cryptocurrency marketplace. This position is highly cross-functional and will engage with regulatory partners to analyze requirements, identify potential issues, and provide compliance support to respond and resolve regulatory matters.

What you’ll do
- Engage with regulators and communicate regulatory information to Robinhood stakeholders and ensure requirements are interpreted and implemented accurately
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Robinhood business teams to support ongoing compliance including; customer service, accounting and finance, risk, and crypto operations
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports, responses to regulatory inquiries, and licensing applications
- Coordinate and facilitate examinations conducted by Robinhood Crypto’s regulators
- Develop, implement, and maintain appropriate policies and procedures to ensure Robinhood Crypto is able to align with applicable laws, rules, and regulations
What you bring
- 5+ years working in compliance, or a relevant function in the financial services industry or blockchain technology sector
- Solid understanding of federal and state payments laws and regulations, especially in relation to cryptocurrency or payments products
- Experience handling and analyzing business and financial data
- Familiarity with cryptocurrency markets and blockchain technology
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and coordinate across multiple functional groups
- Resourceful and adaptive in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
