The Challenge

We are seeking an experienced Concept Artist with a high bar for quality of design to join our game development team and play a key role in shaping the visual identity and immersive experience of our games. In this role, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and engaging 2D art and concepts that capture the essence of our games and resonate with players. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of visual storytelling, colour theory, composition, and anatomy, as well as experience with industry-standard software. You must have the ability to deliver high-quality artwork against tight deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

What You Can Expect at Work

• Concept Art Creation: Ideate and refine visual solutions for characters, environments, props, and other game assets.
• 2D Asset Production: Support the creation of 2D art assets (Documentation, Marketing Art, UI elements).
• File Management: Be responsible for the administrative upkeep of files and data you created for the game.
• Collaboration: Work closely with game designers, animators, and other team members to ensure cohesive visual integration.

What You Need to Succeed

• Robust Portfolio: A strong portfolio showing content created for 2D art and concept design. We are looking for candidates who are able to express mass and form well in their portfolio.
• Software Knowledge: Proficiency in any digital drawing package. The internal team primarily uses Adobe Photoshop. Having experience with Unreal Engine will be a plus.
• Artistic Depth: Strong drafting skills across a range of subject matter. Good knowledge in Design principles, Perspective, Anatomy, Color and Composition. Understanding of “Draw-through” techniques will be a plus.
• Process Driven: Possess a reliable workflow that consistently allows you to  generate visual solutions. 
• Professional Autonomy: Mature enough to work remotely/independently; Disciplined enough to deliver effectively.
• Good Communication: Willing communicator who collaborates to work effectively within a team environment.
• Passion for Games: A genuine interest in contributing to visual problem solving for game development.
• Professional Maturity: Mindful enough to accept constructive criticism and artistic direction. Also being aware of how your work contributes towards the company’s success.
