The Orbit Community Program is a community engagement program aiming to help amplify the voice of Filecoin, IPFS, and libp2p in the web3 community (both online and offline!) and create content and educational resources. Your mission will be to manage the program, from participant recruiting and support to reporting and growth.
Responsibilities...
- Monitor community member activities, collect: weekly reports, content from the events, contracts, invoices, and more
- Develop and manage social media content calendar, ensuring timely, relevant posts, event announcements, and more (Orbit community Twitter) and work with Marketing/Communications department to distribute content
- Coordinate announcements and content distribution in different social media channels (FF/PL - Twitter, YouTube)
- Maintain community meetup accounts, proofread content to ensure it has an appropriate tone of voice
- Help community members to create programs for events and conferences, coordinate internal and external speakers
- Write monthly newsletters highlighting community achievements
- Review, assess, and interview new orbit community members
- Work with the design team on website edits, update leaderboards, add new members, update badges
- Track community metrics and Ambassador’s milestones
- Suggest and implement improvements to the Orbit Community Program
- Unlock new regions, expand and scale the program
- Plan and co-host annual Filecoin Captains day
You may be a fit for this role if you have...
- 3 years of relevant experience in community management or operations management
- Experience coordinating events and managing volunteers
- Keen attention to detail and strong project management skills
- Self-starter with a proactive and positive approach
- Good to have social media channels, including Reddit, Twitter, and YouTube and messaging groups (Telegram, WhatsApp)
- Good to have knowledge of social media marketing best practices
- You are personable and enjoy connecting with others on a daily basis
- Strong communication skills, especially with a globally diverse population
- Comfort with remote, internationally-distributed teams
- Passion for the decentralized web and information access
- Understanding of developer needs, needs of technical audience and building an online community
- Sociable, people-oriented, likable, understands needs of a global audience
- Fluent in multiple languages (a plus, not a requirement)
