About Nifty Gateway

Nifty Gateway is the premiere, all-in-one platform that makes it easy to buy, sell, and store digital art and collectibles, otherwise known as Nifties (or NFTs). Nifty Gateway was founded by Duncan and Griffin Cock Foster in 2018, and acquired by Gemini in 2019, with the belief that crypto networks and the blockchain have the power to fundamentally change the art world by creating greater choice, independence, and opportunity for artists, creators, and collectors. The Role: Community Manager Our Community Manager will be in tune with the NFT space and have a background managing huge online communities across different social platforms. We’re looking for a self motivated, collaborative, and proactive Community Manager who can skillfully share the news about upcoming Nifty drops with a passion to tell stories via photos, videos, and other emerging media. This individual will have a passion for technology and be enthusiastic about working in a fast paced startup environment, supporting the 10+ weekly drops. They will be incredibly detail oriented and be able to take full control of and skillfully grow our digital communications efforts to our community. They will be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with the team at Nifty Gateway. Help us build the products that will introduce Nifties to 1 billion people!

Responsibilities:

• Manage the Nifty Gateway Discord server for our established community programs
• Design online activities and incentives to keep community engaged and work with Nifty Gateway Creators to plan online activities in our Discord server
• Work alongside our Social Media Associate to help establish brand consistency and messaging 
• Present and consult with marketing team to help drive current and new initiatives forward
• Celebrate and surface the important feedback and incredible stories that come from our community
• Shape the future of how we build trust and growth in new community segments, when working with our diverse community
• Manage on-brand community events and activations throughout the year
• Help establish how Nifty Gateway engages with our community at scale
• Report on the health of our community server, and make recommendations for improvements while promoting the optimization of processes and tools for best program output
• Set and track program performance goals through data measurement tools and dashboards
• Report on the result of each event, identify trends, and create case studies

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1-3+ years proven work experience as a community specialist/manager
• Experience launching community initiatives (e.g. building an online forum, launching an ambassador program, creating an event series)
• Ability to identify and track relevant community metrics (e.g. repeat attendance at events)
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Proven excellence in writing 
• Basic knowledge of best digital marketing practices
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail
• Experience utilizing Discord or similar platform, Adobe Creative Cloud, and/or Canva platforms
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated excellence in project management, organizational planning and operational excellence
• Experience building and managing digital online communities from conception to launch
• Experience in digital communications/community building in crypto/fintech, art, fashion, sports, e-sports and/or collectibles industries 
• Client or customer relationship experience
• Understands the best digital community moderation practices
• Knowledge of online communities from platforms including Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Discord
