Job Description

The Clean Energy - Manager, M&A and Strategy - San Francisco will:

• Help with business development activities in order to identify, develop and close new energy projects opportunities.
• Support negotiation of master trading and transportation agreements with target customers.
• Implement market penetration strategies focused on power and gas and help develop customer value propositions.
• Develop relationships with IOUs, municipals, cooperatives, and other load serving entities as well as gas producers, pipeline transportation companies, and storage service providers for assigned territory(s).
• Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders.
• Negotiate transaction agreements with customers/ counter-parties.
• Oversee proposal development and customer presentations.
• Develop and expand industry relationships to advance market presence and project development.

The Successful Applicant

The right candidate will have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
• A minimum of 3-5 years experience in an Analytics, M&A, or Strategy discipline in power utilities or energy at a strategy or consulting firm.
• Experience focused in the power utilities with the ability to conduct a thorough analysis of potential acquisition targets, including assessing the market landscape (structure, size and profitability, drivers of performance, trends, outlook), the target's competitive position.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to understand how business model decisions impact financial performance.
• Comfort with ambiguity and fluid situations and ability to work in a fast-paced deal environment.
