Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) - Web3/Crypto Venture Capital

Panga Ventures is seeking a visionary Chief Marketing Officer to lead our marketing strategy and brand development as we scale our $1.5B+ investment platform focused on the next generation of Web3 and cryptocurrency technologies.

Role Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategy for the fund

• Build and enhance Panga Ventures brand in the Web3/crypto ecosystem

• Drive thought leadership initiatives and establish the firm as industry authority

• Create marketing frameworks for portfolio company support

Brand & Content:

• Lead content strategy across all channels (web, social, publications)

• Manage public relations and media relationships in crypto space

• Oversee creation of research reports, market insights, and whitepapers

• Develop compelling narratives around investment thesis and portfolio

Community & Events:

• Build and nurture relationships with crypto founders, investors, and influencers

• Lead event strategy including conferences, demo days, and networking events

• Manage partnerships with accelerators, universities, and industry organizations

• Develop LP (Limited Partner) communication and reporting strategies

Digital Marketing:

• Oversee website, social media, and digital presence optimization

• Implement data-driven marketing campaigns and growth strategies

• Manage marketing technology stack and analytics

• Lead SEO/content marketing for deal flow generation

Team Leadership:

• Build and manage high-performing marketing team

• Collaborate with investment and portfolio support teams

• Work closely with founders on portfolio company marketing initiatives

• Mentor and develop marketing talent

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years marketing leadership experience, preferably in finance/tech

• 5+ years experience in cryptocurrency, blockchain, or Web3 space

• Proven track record building brands in B2B/institutional markets

• Deep understanding of crypto ecosystem, DeFi, and blockchain technology

• Experience with venture capital, private equity, or institutional finance

• Strong network within crypto/Web3 community

• Exceptional communication and storytelling abilities

• Data-driven approach with strong analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous CMO/VP Marketing experience at VC firm or crypto company

• Experience working with institutional investors (LPs)

• Technical background in blockchain/cryptocurrency

• MBA or equivalent advanced degree

• Published thought leadership in crypto/finance space

• Experience with regulatory communications in financial services

Compensation Details:

• Base Salary: $150,000 - $250,000 USD annually

• Equity: Significant equity package with fund carry potential

• Bonus: Performance-based bonuses up to 50% of base

• Total Compensation: $180,000 - $350,000 + depending on experience and performance
