The Business Development Specialist will play a crucial role in driving OSL's growth in the Japanese market by establishing and nurturing relationships with key industry stakeholders, including cryptocurrency exchanges, wallet providers, and blockchain platforms. This position requires a proactive approach to identify new product opportunities, onboard clients such as institutional investors and retail traders, and develop strategic business plans that align with market demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders in Japan, including cryptocurrency exchanges, wallet providers, blockchain platforms, and other relevant entities to explore potential partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify new product opportunities and enhancements based on the specific demands of the Japanese market and customer feedback.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to onboard new clients, including institutional investors, retail traders, and other target demographics in Japan, employing effective sales strategies and relationship-building techniques.
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company goals and revenue targets within the cryptocurrency sector in Japan.
- Cultivate new partnerships with local media outlets and affiliates (e.g., KOLs, influencers, and prominent crypto figures) to drive first-time deposits and trades.
- Play a key role in executing the company’s strategy in innovative and practical ways that resonate with the Japanese audience.
- Expand OSL's client base in Japan and foster long-term relationships with both new and existing customers.
- Strengthen and enhance OSL's reputation and presence within the Japanese market.
- Research emerging trends in blockchain technology specific to Japan and recommend new products or services to meet local customer needs.
- Stay current with the latest social media trends in Japan (such as YouTube, TikTok) and engage with the local blockchain influencer community.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
- Prior experience in the crypto or blockchain industry, with established relationships or knowledge of influential figures in the Japanese market.
- A strong passion for blockchain and web3 technologies.
- Self-driven with a strong desire to make an impact in a dynamic and evolving industry; adept at listening to market needs and executing effectively.
- Results-oriented, with a focus on achieving business objectives and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and produce comprehensive reports.
- Previous experience in managing and leading high-performing business development or sales teams.
