Role Overview

As a Blockchain Engineer at Blockpact Capital, you will be responsible for evaluating blockchain technologies, conducting technical due diligence on potential investments, and providing hands-on technical support to our portfolio companies. You will work with distributed systems, smart contracts, consensus mechanisms, and various blockchain protocols. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying promising technologies and helping our portfolio companies overcome technical challenges. This role offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple blockchain projects and influence the future of decentralized technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct technical due diligence on blockchain projects and protocols

• Design, develop, and audit smart contracts across multiple blockchain platforms

• Evaluate blockchain architecture, consensus mechanisms, and security protocols

• Provide technical guidance and support to portfolio companies

• Research and analyze emerging blockchain technologies and trends

• Develop and maintain internal blockchain infrastructure and tools

• Collaborate with investment team on technical assessments and reports

• Identify potential security vulnerabilities and recommend solutions

• Stay current with blockchain research, protocols, and best practices

• Participate in technical discussions with industry leaders and developers

Requirements

Technical Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in blockchain development and distributed systems

• Strong proficiency in Solidity, Rust, or Go for smart contract development

• Deep understanding of Ethereum, Layer 2 solutions, and other blockchain protocols

• Experience with DeFi protocols, NFTs, and decentralized applications

• Knowledge of cryptographic primitives and security best practices

• Experience with smart contract auditing and security analysis

• Familiarity with consensus mechanisms (PoS, PoW, BFT, etc.)

• Understanding of blockchain scalability solutions and interoperability

• Experience with testing frameworks (Hardhat, Truffle, Foundry)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in venture capital or startup environments

• Contributions to open-source blockchain projects

• Published research or technical articles on blockchain technology

• Experience with multiple blockchain ecosystems (Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos, etc.)

• Strong network within the blockchain developer community

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in relevant field
