Responsibilities:

The Blockchain Consultant will support Barrow Wise's government project and perform the following duties:

• Evaluate compliance frameworks, including adequate risk assessment, internal controls, training and education, independent testing, and audit appropriate for digital financial asset business types, including those involving blockchain activities
• Demonstrate expertise in Anti-Money Laundry (AML) / Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
• Develop a compliance evaluation system for efficient and comprehensive review of digital financial assets applicants and licensee compliance program
• Provide expertise in the creation and development of an efficient risk assessment review and evaluation for digital financial asset business types through their experience working with digital financial companies and/or regulators overseeing digital financial asset companies
• Recommend risk assessments, due diligence processes, and best practices, including training materials specific to digital financial asset businesses
• Developing policy manuals and review procedures for compliance programs and/or regulatory oversight programs
• Develop cryptocurrency/blockchain reports (classification, trading, and management within financial systems)
• Manage and guide other team members
• Facilitate meetings and outcomes with the government
• Work remotely

An ideal candidate has the following:

• U.S. Citizenship
• Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or another related field
• 5 (five) or more years of experience in blockchain, cryptocurrency, internal controls, and commercial banking
• Track record of being highly organized and self-motivated
• Experience with responsibility for the financial management of an entity or a large program
• Proven communication skills, both oral and written
• Demonstrated ability and effectiveness in communicating ideas and information, both quantitative and qualitative
• Knowledge of digital asset laws and blockchain compliance systems
• Capability to work independently while supportive of a team environment
