Yield.xyz is the ultimate yield infrastructure for Web3 — every yield, every network, one API.
We unify staking, restaking, stablecoin, and DeFi yield across blockchains into a single platform that gives developers seamless access to diversified yield opportunities with full data transparency, frictionless monetization, and zero operational complexity. Pure plug-and-play.
Our infrastructure powers some of the biggest names in Web3 and fintech, including Ledger, Deblock, and 50+ leading wallets and platforms. And we’re just getting started.
This is an engineering role with meaningful ownership and real impact. We value contributors who take ownership and help shape what comes next, and are looking for someone who takes initiative and wants to help define what we build. If you possess deep technical ambition, want to shape the future of finance, and thrive in high-growth environments with autonomy and impact, we want to meet you.
We're expanding backend engineering team to support our core technical foundation. You'll operate at the critical intersection of Web2 infrastructure and Web3 primitives, architecting and shipping robust data pipelines, protocol integrations, and high-throughput APIs that power the yield layer for decentralized finance.
This is a high-impact, high-ownership role where you'll design and build mission-critical systems used by some of the most important players in crypto and finance. You'll have the autonomy to own features end-to-end, from technical design through deployment and monitoring. You'll collaborate directly with Product, Security, DevOps and senior leadership on a regular basis, and your work will directly influence our technical roadmap.
You'll be joining a talented team, with members distributed across North America, South America, Europe, and other parts of the world.
Design and build high-throughput, low-latency backend services in TypeScript/Node.js, with deep attention to API design, schema stability, and versioning
Architect performant PostgreSQL schemas and optimize complex queries for production workloads; leverage Redis for caching and real-time data access
Build robust data pipelines that ingest, process, and normalize blockchain protocol data in real-time at scale
Integrate emerging yield sources (staking, restaking, DeFi protocols) into the Yield.xyz engine including smart contract interaction, transaction signing, and multi-chain coordination
Develop and maintain external-facing APIs that power integrations for major Web3 wallets and fintech platforms
Conduct technical R&D on emerging protocols, validator architectures, and Web3 infrastructure; propose integration strategies and contribute to planning
Operate services on AWS in close partnership with DevOps engineers to ensure reliability, performance, and security at scale
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to triage and respond to site-wide incidents, ensuring uptime and stability across our APIs, integrations, and data pipelines.
Mentor and collaborate with other engineers across the organization, sharing knowledge on backend architecture and Web3 primitives
Own shipping with minimal guidance from technical design and implementation through to deployment, monitoring, and iteration based on real-world performance
5+ years shipping production-grade backend systems at scale
Strong TypeScript and Node.js proficiency (NestJS experience is a plus)
Deep expertise with PostgreSQL and hands-on production experience with Redis (or similar in-memory data stores), including designing efficient schemas, writing optimized queries, handling complex data relationships, and implementing caching, sessions, and real-time data workflows.
Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and how to build reliable, scalable systems
API design expertise: you understand schema versioning, backward compatibility, rate limiting, and building APIs that scale
Senior-level ownership mentality: you can design, build, test, and ship features end-to-end with minimal guidance
Self-starter energy: you love building code, solving complex problems, and taking initiative
Attention to detail in system design, security, and performance; you think about edge cases and failure modes
Excellent communication skills, especially async and written, to collaborate effectively with distributed teams
Web3 familiarity: understanding of RPCs, blockchain signing mechanisms, multi-chain interactions, and Solidity smart contracts
Experience building scalable data pipelines and indexing systems (The Graph, Subgraphs, custom blockchain indexers, etc.)
Blockchain infrastructure experience: you've built systems that interact with blockchain nodes or smart contracts
Deep knowledge of staking, DeFi protocols, validator architecture, or yield mechanisms
Open-source contributions, particularly in Web3 or data infrastructure projects
Experience at high-growth startups in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where you've had to wear multiple hats
Demonstrated curiosity about emerging Web3 technologies and a genuine interest in the space
Work on critical infrastructure powering the next generation of decentralized finance and Web3 wallets
High autonomy and ownership: shape product direction, architect systems, and have real influence on technical decisions
Collaborate with exceptional engineers backed by top-tier investors and advisors
Build for industry leaders: your work directly powers Ledger, Deblock, and dozens of leading fintech and crypto platforms globally
Fully distributed team across multiple continents. Work from anywhere within American timezones.
Competitive salary and equity package with plans to transition to full-time employment
Learn at the frontier: dive deep into Web3 infrastructure, yield mechanisms, and decentralized finance at a critical moment in the industry
