We are seeking a skilled and motivated Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain the server-side architecture for cutting-edge DeFi applications. In this role, you will collaborate closely with frontend developers and smart contract engineers to deliver secure, high-performance backend services that integrate seamlessly with blockchain technology. Accountabilities:

The Backend Engineer will be responsible for:

• Designing and implementing highly scalable backend services and architectures for DeFi applications.
• Integrating backend services with blockchain networks and smart contracts to ensure seamless functionality.
• Developing secure APIs for communication between frontend applications, smart contracts, and third-party services.
• Optimizing data storage, retrieval, and processing for high-performance environments.
• Conducting code reviews, troubleshooting backend performance or security issues, and implementing best practices.
• Keeping current with trends in blockchain, DeFi, and backend development technologies to continuously improve platform capabilities.

Candidates should meet the following qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in backend development, with strong proficiency in Java.
• Experience with Node.js, Go, or equivalent backend technologies.
• Strong understanding of blockchain architecture, smart contracts, and DeFi protocols.
• Experience with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL) and distributed data systems.
• Proven ability to build and maintain APIs, microservices, and backend infrastructure.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional proficiency in English and Chinese, as frequent communication with international teams is required.
