Accountant

Job Summary

FCF is looking for an Accountant who will execute accounting activities to ensure financial reports are complete, timely, and accurate. The Accountant will collaborate with multiple different team members to organize, prepare and examine financial records. This person should bring a key eye for detail and strong communication skills that are flexible to work with a wide variety of teams and levels of management.

Responsibilities 

• Performs general GAAP accounting duties
• Prepares end closing journal entries and balance sheet schedules, including intercompany allocations, depreciation and amortization, and accruals
• Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books
• Reconciles bank accounts at least monthly, verifies deposits, and addresses inquiries from banks
• Issue invoices per contracted terms
• Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections in coordination with AP Specialist
• Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts in coordination with AP Specialist
• Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit
• Verify discrepancies and resolve billing issues

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience managing multi-entity organizations
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
• Strong Excel skills required (pivot tables, VLookups, etc…)
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Certify, QuickBooks Online, and Bill.com preferred
• Proven working experience as Accounting Controller with knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
• Proven financial and business analysis skills, adept at providing management useful data that reflects operating performance, sales, trends, costs, revenue, and expenses
• Basic to intermediate understanding of crypto currencies and NFTs preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to establish rapport and trust with vendors, customers, and employees
• Must be able to work independently in remote environments
• Must maintain strict confidentiality in all matters
• Possess advanced computer proficiency
