The Gaming Catalyst Program (GCP) is a venture initiative from the Arbitrum DAO, backed by over 200M ARB and purpose-built for top founders using blockchain to unlock new dimensions of gaming experiences, monetization, and growth. GCP provides strategic capital to studios, publishers, and independent creators advancing the future of gaming and entertainment on Arbitrum. Beyond funding, the program offers go-to-market support, technical resources, a vibrant builder network, and more from cross-Arbitrum gaming partners.
The core team and incoming recruits bring experience from Zynga, BCG, Google, LucasArts, Blizzard Entertainment, and leading Web3 gaming VCs.
We’re looking for a Communications & Content Lead to oversee internal communications, external PR operations, and key marketing activities. This person will play a critical role in amplifying the program’s narrative, transparency efforts, and community engagement, ensuring that our initiatives are communicated effectively both internally within the DAO and externally to developers, stakeholders, and the broader gaming/Web3 ecosystem.
The ideal candidate has a strong writing background, content strategy experience, and is deeply familiar with either Web3 or gaming. They must be able to create elegant, compelling, and informative content that aligns with DAO governance, program updates, and broader ecosystem storytelling.
Develop and manage internal communication frameworks for the fund, ensuring alignment across teams, council members, and DAO stakeholders.
Craft transparency reports, program updates, and funding summaries to keep the DAO informed and engaged.
Monitor and respond to DAO feedback across forums, social channels, and community events, identifying key discussions, concerns, and sentiment trends to inform communication strategy and stakeholder engagement.
Oversee external communications strategy, including press releases, media relations, and ecosystem announcements.
Manage relationships with PR agencies, journalists, and influencers to amplify fund initiatives and portfolio company milestones.
Act as an advisory to GCP leadership for public messaging, interviews, and community AMAs.
Drive content marketing initiatives, including blogs, social media narratives, and thought leadership pieces.
Collaborate with gaming partners and ecosystem projects to highlight success stories and case studies.
Develop and maintain an editorial calendar that aligns with key fund milestones, game launches, and ecosystem events.
Help evolve the narrative of the GCP and Arbitrum Gaming and its role in Web3 gaming.
Develop long-form and short-form content that educates, informs, and engages developers, investors, and the gaming community.
Identify and execute opportunities for public speaking engagements, op-eds, and ecosystem thought leadership.
We are a fast-moving, innovation-driven team deeply passionate about the intersection of gaming, Web3, and decentralized ecosystems. Collaboration, adaptability, and clear communication are at the heart of our work. We thrive on transparency, community engagement, and high-impact storytelling to drive our mission forward.
In your first 6 months, success in this role will mean:
Establish a clear and consistent communications framework for internal DAO updates and external messaging.
Launch impactful content initiatives—from blog posts to thought leadership pieces—that elevate our visibility in Web3 gaming.
Strengthen relationships with media, influencers, and ecosystem partners, ensuring our fund’s narrative is well-represented.
Develop a data-driven content strategy and editorial calendar, aligned with key ecosystem milestones.
Proactively identify and amplify success stories from the DAO and its funded projects to showcase tangible ecosystem growth.
8+ years in communications, PR, content strategy, or marketing, preferably in web3, gaming, or technology.
Exceptional writing and storytelling skills, with a portfolio showcasing content for technical or investment audiences.
Understanding of decentralized ecosystems, gaming communities, and blockchain technology.
Proven ability to coordinate PR campaigns, manage media relationships, and craft high-impact messaging.
Ability to distill complex ideas into accessible, compelling narratives for diverse audiences.
Experience driving and/or contributing to GTM activities and working closely with early-stage founders is a plus.
