About the Role:

As the primary voice of Design and Design Thinking at Helika, you will be responsible for all UI/UX design for our product suite, including Helika Engage, Helika Analytics, and Helika Acquire. You will collaborate with counterparts across Data, Engineering, Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to drive long-term strategy and vision, ensuring high-quality experiences for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Leadership: Balance your time between individual contributor work (80%) and empowering other designers, freelancers, and graphic artists (20%).

• Product Design: Take conceptual ideas and turn them into valuable experiences for our users through wireframes, user journeys/flows, prototypes, and Lo/Hi Fi designs.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work in tandem with product and engineering teams as part of the scrum to support end-to-end delivery of features.

• Design System Management: Create and manage the design system for the platform, streamlining front-end components.

• User Research: Occasionally design and conduct user research as needed to inform design decisions.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 6+ years of experience with both web and mobile design.

• Portfolio: Strong portfolio of work across both B2B and B2C, showcasing highly technical features with complex workflows or multi-sided marketplaces.

• User Experience: Skilled in deconstructing complex user experiences and designs, with a focus on a platform-first approach.

• Design Knowledge: Strong understanding of common patterns, components, and frameworks, with the ability to innovate or use existing patterns appropriately.

• Figma: Expert-level proficiency in Figma.

• Startup Experience: Proven experience thriving in dynamic start up environments, working on multiple projects in parallel, and operating effectively at various organizational levels.

• Navigate Ambiguity: Comfortable navigating ambiguity where all the information may not be available.

• Prioritization: Strong ability to prioritize efforts, yielding the best return for users and Helika.

• 0 to 1 Designs: Experience with 0 to 1 designs, emphasizing speed over perfection.

• Agile Execution: Ability to take an iterative approach to execution while envisioning end-to-end vision and frameworks, using an Agile approach.

• Business-minded Designer: Identify as a “business-minded designer” who leads teams to deliver impact through excellent customer experiences.

• Communication: Comfortable voicing opinions and participating in constructive debates to align team members.

• Bonus - Web3 or Gaming Experience: Experience in Web3 or gaming is a plus but not required.
